	<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">Pigment - word coming from the latin pigmentum is a material that changes the color of the light that reflects or transmits as a result of the selected absorption of light in dependence of their wave length. Pigments can be classified in two big groups: organic and inorganic accordingly to their chemical composition. In order to develop the inorganic pigments solid wastes and ores (tailings) from Geo-Minsal group mining enterprises and nickel enterprises Pedro Soto Alba (Moa Nickel) and Ernesto Che Guevara was used. The obtained products characterized by particle size analysis, chemical analysis, DTA and TG termogravimetric analysis and electronic microscopy barren analysis (MEB) were evaluated on laboratory scale by specialists from different enterprises as Vitral Painting Enterprise, Santa Cruz Ceramic Enterprise, Concrete and terrazzo Enterprise (HORTER) and San Jose de las Lajas White Ceramic Enterprise. Gypsum samples with different blending colors of old rose; gray and beige were developed by chemical procedures. Natural pigments with different blending colors were accomplished by mixing different materials.</dc:description>
	<dc:description xml:lang="es-ES">Pigmento -palabra proveniente del Latín pigmentum- es un material que cambia el color de la luz que refleja o transmite como resultado de la absorción selectiva de la luz según su longitud de onda. Para el desarrollo de los pigmentos inorgánicos se utilizaron desechos sólidos (colas) y minerales de las empresas Geo - Mineras del Grupo Geominsal y de las empresas niquelíferas Pedro Soto Alba (Moa Nickel) y Ernesto Che Guevara Los productos elaborados caracterizados por análisis granulométrico, análisis químico, análisis térmico diferencial (ATD), análisis termo gravimétrico (TG) y Microscopia Electrónica de Barrido (MEB) fueron evaluados a nivel de laboratorio por especialistas de distintas empresas como son : Empresa de Pinturas Vitral, Empresa de Cerámica Santa Cruz, Empresa de Hormigón y Terazza (HORTER) y la Empresa de Cerámica blanca de San José de las Lajas. Se desarrollaron por la vía química distintos yesos coloreados con distintos matices de rosa vieja, gris y beige. Se obtuvieron también pigmentos naturales por mezclas de distintos materiales desarrollándose distintas variedades de colores.</dc:description>
