These metals are often together in proportions variables, and the platinum usually prevails, it is objective of this work to show the tendency as for the treatment and obtaining of the noble metals of the group platinoides, specifically the platinum obtaining. The analysis left of a study gathered in the information of patents demonstrating several procedures and different sources so they exist to extract the Pt fundamentally, as the obtaining of the metal of electronic scraps, of cromita minerals, in smaller grade of minerals of pleasures, the biggest tendency is to the employment of this metal in the production of catalysts. El trabajo es un estudio preliminar para acercarnos al tema de minerales platinoides, el término "metales del grupo del platino" (PGM) designa los seis platinoides como rutenio, rodio, paladio, osmio, iridio y platino. Estos metales se encuentran a menudo juntos en proporciones variables, y el platino predomina normalmente, es objetivo de este trabajo mostrar la tendencia en cuanto al tratamiento y obtención de los metales nobles del grupo platinoides, específicamente la obtención de platino. El análisis partió de un estudio recopilado en la información de patentes demostrando así que existen varios procedimientos y diferentes fuentes para extraer el Pt fundamentalmente, como la obtención del metal de chatarras electrónicas, de minerales de cromita, en menor grado de minerales de placeres, la mayor tendencia es al empleo de este metal en la producción de catalizadores.
