INFOMIN is a scientific and technical journal devoted to the dissemination of knowledge in the field of the Mining and Metallurgical Industry and the Geosciences, aimed at professionals, researchers, educators, technicians, and students involved in Earth sciences, mining, and metallurgy. Its mission is to publish original and unpublished works of high scientific and technological quality that contribute to the sustainable development of the mining-metallurgical sector and foster innovation in applied mineral sciences, ensuring that submissions are not under simultaneous consideration by other journals or editorial bodies. The scope of the journal covers all fundamental and applied aspects of Mining, Metallurgy, and related scientific and technological disciplines, including topics such as technological development for the mining and metallurgical industries; mineral exploitation, recovery, beneficiation, and production of gold, nickel, cobalt, silver, copper, lead, zinc, and ferrous metals; activated carbon; industrial minerals; metallurgy; hydrometallurgy; pyrometallurgy; materials characterization; mineralogical and petrographic studies; optical microscopy; X-ray diffraction; new materials and nanotechnology; environmental studies; chemical analysis; quality management; knowledge management; and industrial property, as well as general subjects in geosciences. The journal accepts manuscripts in Spanish, English, and Portuguese, and publishes several document types, including editorial columns, original articles, reference listings and abstracts, news, mining agenda, and other science updates, industrial property papers, tributes, short communications, reviews, and obituaries, all aimed at strengthening knowledge exchange and scientific advancement in the field.
