Abstract

In order to optimize the geological research for gold, a large number of geological projects and reports from the Guaimaro-Las Tunas region were reviewed, where the insufficient degree of study reported by previous works was found, a factor that we consider to be a determining factor in the design and scope of geological tasks due, among other causes, to the low degree of outcrops of the underlying rocks, even in relatively high terrain and mainly due to the absence of the estimate of resources in most of the preceding reports, given the large number of mineral manifestations with high gold content is required to design projects that facilitate completing the study stages and there are even territories where it is feasible combined tasks of recognition-prospecting to coexist in certain areas large number of favorable guides for mineralization as the very presence of gold with high content in tillage and known outcrops, as well as isolated bodies that have been interpreted as having an undetermined morphology. It is recommended in the technical tasks to establish the limits of the sectors, areas or regions according to their complex geological-structural interpretation according to the characteristics previously exposed for the mineralization of gold, so that the results are the definition of the extension of the mineral bodies by the course and dip, determining their thickness and mineral content, thus ensuring the continuity of the evaluation process with a more accurate estimate of their resources.
