Abstract
Inmersos en la bien llamada “4ta Revolución Industrial”, la sociedad actual transita por el periodo de transformar los procesos manuales a digitales, bien para aumentar la producción, optimizar costos de operaciones, o mejorar las condiciones de trabajo de los trabajadores evitando altos riesgos.
La industria minera no escapa a estas transformaciones, por lo cual el empleo de la inteligencia artificial en los procesos y operaciones, el monitoreo en tiempo real, las operaciones telecomandadas, la robótica para la exploración ya sea en minas subterráneas, inundadas o en el fondo marino, son buenas prácticas que se vienen implementado, cada vez con mayor fuerza.
Este proceso de digitalización presupone, un nuevo reto para la comunidad minera: “la capacitación de los trabajadores”, es relevante poder capacitar de manera adecuada a quienes operan las nuevas tecnologías en aras de adquirir nuevas competencias, para aprovechar todo el potencial en el desarrollo de la minería del futuro.
“La digitalización”, será el mayor impacto de la minería del futuro, aprovechemos la oportunidad de la era digital y pongamos todo nuestro empeño en convertir la industria minería en más productiva, rentable, más amigable con el medioambiente y menos riesgosa. “Solo es necesario saber aplicar la tecnología; Usted tiene la llave”.
