Selection of laboratory equipment based on a methodology with a multi-criteria approach
Main Article Content
Abstract
Laboratory equipment is technologies of great importance in the scientific sector and the appropriate selection of them provides accuracy, reliability and punctuality of the results, while guaranteeing a high level of performance. The present work proposes the design of a methodology for the proper selection of imported laboratory equipment, using a quantitative technology with a multi-criterial approach. The methodology designed consists of developing a set of activities to respond to the optimal selection of the equipment that the Country intends to import, which starts from the creation of a group of professionals to carry out the selection to the application of the branching and dimensioning method for determine the type of equipment to acquire. Through the execution of the designed methodology, it was possible to take advantage the budget assigned for the purchase of the equipment and the opportunity costs that were generated by the selection methods currently applied in the Center are reduced.
