About the geochemical particularities of plagiogranites in the Ciego- Camaguey sector
Main Article Content
Abstract
The present research is based on the analysis of geochemical behavior of plagiogranites that belong to the gabbro-plagiogranitic formation in the Ciego-Camaguey sector. It was employed geochemical analysis of major oxides of 19 samples realizated during to geological surveys of polygon CAME III, it was analysed the geological information from previous works executed in the study area and was employed the statistical method through the use of the geochemical data recalculation softwares GCDkit Version 2.3 y PetroGraph Version 1.0.5-03.05.05. As main results obtained: The plagiogranites are characterized by being fundamentally granitoids of the ferroan calcic metaluminous-weakly peraluminous type. 2) This calcic variety of metaluminous ferroan granitoids indicates that they are result of low-pressure fractionation of basaltic melts. 3) The occurrence of peraluminous varieties can be associated with processes of low pressure melting of basaltic magmas and magmatic assimilation processes
