DEVELOPMENT OF CERAMIC MEMBRANES TO LEAVE OF THE EMPLOYMENT OF NATURAL POROUS MINERALS
Main Article Content
Abstract
The use of membranes is known in the treatment of waters and residual waters, specifically in the last years, technologies of synthesis of diverse types of membranes have been developed on porous materials that allow to intensify its use, guaranteeing this way the requirements of the effective standards in the treatment of these resources. The membranes are very thin sheets of polymers, gels, glass, metal, ceramic, coal or mixtures of them, with high permeability and standard structure of pores with sizes that oscillate between several micrometers and nanometers fractions. The objective of the present work consists on the development of ceramic membranes using cuban porous minerals to being used in the effluents treatment. The raw matters that were selected were: Pinar del Rio clay, gray kaolin, oxidizes of alumina. The general procedure of synthesis of membranes was used by the ceramic method of composed model by the deposition of the precursor cover, growth, drying and burns of the cover. The final quality of the membrane depends critically on the quality of the support, of the composition and structure of the precursor solution, and of the details of the drying and calcinations processes, particularly the drying. A lot of active tubular membranes and another lot of membranes deposited inside the supports were obtained, which were characterized, by means of the methods of Rays X porosimetría of mercury etc. and they obtained results were satisfactory, being in the established parameters of this material type corresponding to 0,5-0,1 μm, centered the s 0,67 μm, being in the range of microfiltración membranes.
