The Innovation in the establishment of a saline agriculture, where the cultivation of Salicornia is developed in the saline fields in a chained way to its main corporate purpose, the production of salt and beneficial by means of the brine run and solar evaporation, with the purpose of implement its production and exploitation process, taking advantage of all the advantages that this plant offers us in terms of its different uses, being an agri-food alternative for adaptation to climate change, which would represent a high productive yield and low water requirement. This makes of the same one an important economic option in the agricultural diversification that contributes to the potentiation of organic and sustainable cultivation regardless of the beneficial effects on health, on the other hand the opportunities offered by this type of cultivation for Cuba are surprising, since for the cultivation of these salt-tolerant species can be used millions of hectares of arid and unproductive lands and conserve valuable freshwater resources as we said initially, in addition to generating important material and economic resources, being able to be a gateway to the generation of second generation fuels, allowing us greater energy self-dependence. The benefits that can be obtained of this cultivation will influence positively in prioritized sectors of the economy, favoring the economic, industrial and social development.
