Some aspects about metallic mining in Cuba

Abstract
In the present work, same aspects of metal mining in Cuba are presented, antecedents are described from a historical point of view ranging from indigenous mining to the present. Although our country has large mineral reserves, only gold, copper, iron and chrome minerals are taken into consideration duo to their importance and connection to the activity carried out by the authors. The main deposits are presented, the type of exploitation and plants in which each of them is carried out and the perspective of mining metallurgical development in our country. These metals have been of great importance due to the economic contributions they provide to the country, and despite the challenges, mining continues to play and important role in Cuban economy and its socioeconomic development.
