Abstract
The work reflects a brief study to know, what has been the trend in recent years regarding the concentration process of minerals, as is the beneficiation process and techniques, from an analysis of patents, for it were consulted INTERNET through data bases and Espacenet Patenstcopet, which have search engines which make high benchmark to patents and patent applications worldwide. It was shown that among the mineral concentration process combining technical profit (flotation, gravity and magnetic separation) is one of the 568 employees with total patents, but patents are introduced only novedossos processes in flotation and separation Magnetic where 163 and 63 patents were found respectively. Countries that score high on patenting are: China, USA and Russia Federation. An important aspect is the decrease in the number of patents in the years 2014- 2015, which is associated with the depletion of mineral resources on the planet.
